Vaughan Byrne On behalf of all the Berkshire Club members I would like to propose a vote of thanks to Vaughan Byrne, our Club President for the past three years, who has recently stood down from this post. He has however asked me to make it clear that he remains absolutely committed to the Berkshire breed and the activities of the Club. As an Honorary member he will continue to research the history of the breed and its bloodlines and provide material for the newsletter and our website. Currently his research has led him to Thicket Priory near York, which since 1955 has been the home of an order of Carmelite nuns. Can any member guess how this could have a connection to our Berkshire breed? If not, read Vaughan's article here...
