Class 5 Gilt born in 2009.
1st Fairoaks Farewell 23rd - Chris lmpey.

All of the pigs forward were of a good standard. The Champion male I gave to Chris Impey's Fairoaks Ambassador 4th. lt walked well and is a nice type, it went on to be the Reserve Breed Champion. The Champion female was the lovely sow of Sue Fildes, Peverell Suzanne 4th. She showed well and has all the attributes of our lovely breed, she also went on to take the Breed Championship.

Of the September and January gilts Sue Fildes Dittisham Lady 38th stood out, she had good presence in the ring and was keen to be shown. She will grow on to be a lovely sow.

Many thanks to the exhibitors for bringing well presented pigs to the ring. The weather was disappointing with some heavy showers, but no doubt we all (including the pigs) preferred it to the previous week's heatwave.

My thanks also go to my excellent steward Jo Wykes-Sneyd who made sure the right pigs came to the ring for the right classes and kept things running smoothly.

Dave Shaw.
