Regional Focus: Japan

We have heard the tale of exporting Berkshires to Japan in a previous edition of this newsletter, but we very rarely get the opportunity to see the actual destination and here how our exported piggies are getting on.

Nell and Turley O'Connor have exported two boars and a couple of Farewell gilts to Mr Yamashita's farm at Shinkai, which is now called 'Kiyokawa British Berkshires Farm'.
 

The following pictures, although accompanied by dialogue in Japanese, show the farm along with two Saltway Peter Lad Boars and a Smallicombe Peter Lad Boar.

There is also some pictures of the meat and bacon, which unfortunately Nell and Turley didn't get chance to eat!
